Our buddy team serves children with specific needs where a buddy is needed to help them thrive on a Sunday morning. Buddies serve children with special developmental, emotional, and physical needs. Movement Kids exists to partner with parents as they disciple their children by building relationships, equipping, and training the next generation of Christ followers.
Kids Discovering Jesus
Movement Kids strives to create environments where kids can learn about who they are in Christ, grow in their relationship with Him, and learn to live out their faith every day. Our classrooms are designed to meet children at the critical stages in their development.
During the Sunday service, our nursery volunteers offer a safe and fun atmosphere for children to feel loved and cared for. Our preschool and elementary groups meet for fun, kid-friendly large group and small group time during the Sunday morning services. Each week kids gather together for an interactive worship time where they learn how to worship Jesus, then they participate in small groups where they uncover new Bible stories and engage in fun and age-appropriate content. The desire for kids is that they know more about who Jesus is while gaining their understanding of His Word and how that transforms our lives.
What To Expect
From the moment you pull in the parking lot, you’ll notice lots of friendly faces eager to show you the way.
Your first stop when you arrive in the lobby is the MKids check-in area to the right. We want to serve you and your child well, so we’ll take some time to get to know you. We’ll ask about allergies, make sure we know what your child likes to be called, and collect your contact information. You will also receive a welcome bag with gifts and pamphlet containing more info about our MKids ministry.
Then, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code. If for any reason we need to reach you during service, you’ll be sent a text, and you can come to the check-in area. You’ll also use this sticker to pick up your child after service.

Family Sundays at Movement
Occasionally we “change things up” on Sunday mornings for our elementary kids. For instance, on the 5th Sunday, we have “family worship services,” which means our elementary kids join their parents in “big church”! This is an excellent opportunity for growing kids to learn more about how to worship from their parents and their church family. We communicate these changes in advance to families, so please make sure we have your email address in our system to keep you up to date.
