Psalm 2

Nobody likes being told what to do, and that resistance to authority is as old as humanity itself. Psalm 2 confronts that instinct directly, revealing a world in rebellion against God and His Anointed King. Yet while the nations rage, God is not anxious. He is seated on His throne, completely sovereign, with a plan that cannot be stopped. His answer to human rebellion is not a program or a policy but a King, one promised throughout the Old Testament and fulfilled in Jesus Christ. At His baptism and transfiguration, God declared Jesus to be His Son, and the resurrection confirmed it beyond all doubt. Following Jesus is not simply about securing eternity. It is about surrendering the throne of your own life to the One who is truly worthy of it. He is enthroned, His plan is unfolding, and He invites every person to find refuge in Him.
